Lambert Park

Lambert Park is a 275 acre natural open space park located in the North East corner of Alpine. The City has designated Lambert Park to be an open space park with limited development. It is the home to the City’s Rodeo Grounds as well as a bowery or pavilion that is used for family activities and picnics. The Park is home to many bike trails which attracts bikers from far and wide. The Park was created in 1954 and was acquired primarily to protect Grove Springs which is a major culinary water source for the City.

Lambert Park is named after the George Lambert family who built a home on the Southern portion on the property around the turn of the century. The remains of there home are still there and are surrounded a poppy field that blooms every spring.

The park will be cleaned up and improvements will be added.
